Ever since I started writing about more personal topics on this blog, I've felt a yearning to delve deeper and address some other problems that seem to plague many of us. I've talked briefly about my history with depression, anxiety and self-harm, but that is only a small percentage of the many issues that younger people seem to face in this day and age, and I don't think that enough of us talk about them outright. So, each month or so for the foreseeable future I'm going to be releasing a 'Real Talk' blog post looking into topics that people don't like to talk about, that are covered in stigma, or are perhaps seen as 'provocative' in our overly PC society.

This list is definitely not exclusive, and if you have any topic that you'd like me to cover then let me know, but here are some topics I'd like to look into:

- Body image, weight, and society's expectations
- The stigma surrounding mental illness
- Relationships - partners, sex, and emotional wellbeing
- Being alone vs. being lonely
- The realities of post-student life and job-hunting

Obviously I am no expert, but I have had personal experiences with a lot of these topics, so I'm hoping that these monthly posts will have an impact on others - not only to help themselves, but also inspire people to start talking. So let me know what you think of this new little series on Isobel Rose, and if you have any questions, comments or topic ideas then please do let me know!
