Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Liquid Lipstick.
Tuesday, March 25, 2014I mentioned this bad boy in my February favourites video, but I wanted to put off writing a review for a bit so I would be able to really test this brand spanking new lipstick/stain hybrid from Bourjois out. About a month ago I saw the range in Sephora, and I knew I wanted to try one. I'm definitely not one to turn down a bright lip - especially from one of my favourite drugstore brands, Bourjois. If you know me, then you'll know that I like to go bold or go home, so I decided to pick up the boldest of the bunch - 'Pink Pong'. I'd describe Pink Pong as a neon magenta, and boy is that right up my ally. I've now tried and tested this beaut' on a fair few occasions, so - what's the verdict?
I like this. A lot. The closest thing I can think of to compare this to is the Collection Cream Puff/NYX Matte Lip Creams. It's a highly pigmented lip cream that goes on smooth, smells incredible, dries matte and lasts hours. What makes this different is that fact that although it dries matte, it doesn't make your lips feel as tight or as dry as other long-lasting matte lip products do. I'm not going to lie to you, it's not really moisturising either, but unlike others, it doesn't suck every last ounce of moisture from your lips leaving them feeling drier than a Spanish summer.
So, this gets the thumbs up from me, In fact, I might pop into Sephora later to snag myself a few more shades. These will be released on the 16th April in the UK and will retail for £8.99, so keep your eyes peeled!
