About a week ago I was emailed by the lovely Laura from Mallzee, who wanted to introduce me to their new fashion app. Of course, being a huge fan of anything fashion, I jumped at the chance to take a look at the brand-spanking new Mallzee app and let you guys know my thoughts about it. So, what exactly is Mallzee? I found myself asking the exact same question not so long ago. Basically, its a great app that gets to know your style through a few questions at setup and then helps to refine your online shopping experience. It does this by picking out pieces that it thinks you may like according to your answers and brands that you have selected - making the whole experience tailored to fit you (no pun intended!)
Not only can you browse shops virtually all in one place, but you can also refine your search if you're looking for something more specific. In addition, Mallzee keeps track of all the items that you have 'liked' and keeps them in a virtual 'wardrobe' - ready for you to share with friends and perhaps buy later on once your paycheque has cashed. One thing that I really enjoy about the app is the use of gestures on the iPhone. If you like something, you double-tap it to add it to your virtual wardrobe, if you don't, you pinch it with your fingers and it disappears, and if you want to share it with your friends, you simply hold your finger down for a few seconds - it's as easy as that!
Mallzee just makes online shopping that much easier, and with the added gestures and social features, you can still ask your best friend's opinion on a dress from the other side of the world! I think it's a great way of making your shopping experience unique, there's no more sifting through pages and pages of duds to find that perfect item - Mallzee does all the hard work for you.
