Back at the beginning of August my mum celebrated her birthday, and we treated her to a mani and pedi as well as a trip up to Central London to celebrate the day in style. Nestled amongst the bustling streets between Charing Cross, Covent Garden and Leicester Square is Cantina Laredo, a modern Mexican restaurant that offers delicious dishes, mind-boggling cocktails - literally, they're quite heavy on the tequila - and amazing home made touches.

As designated driver, and not much of a drinker anyway, I made quite a dent in many a delicious mock-tail, my favourite being the Apple Mojito, whilst the others all divulged in the Margaritas de la Casa. The cocktails were followed by tortilla chips and delicious guacamole which was made from scratch at the table for us to see. We then enjoyed a mixture of different tapas dishes, along with some chicken fajitas, quesadillas and other Mexican culinary delights. For desert I dove into a gorgeous Caramel Flan (comó flan de huevos en España) whilst everyone else fought over Churros con Chocolate. The meal was delicious and I would really recommend paying Cantina Laredo a visit if you fancy some good Mexican food whilst wandering the streets of London.
