The Suspects:

Glossybox Blush in 'Glossy Rosewood'
A standard everyday rose pink blush with a buttery satin texture. A great shade for any skin tone.

Becca Beach Tint in 'Watermelon'
Another very wearable pink, but this time in gel form. I actually won this through a Twitter contest!

Seventeen Instant Glow Shimmer Brick in 'Pink Bronze'
A great summer highlighter and blush in one - perfect for someone who wants beautiful glowing skin without having to splash out for it.

Sleek Blush by 3 in 'Lace'
A gorgeous trio of peachy pink shades with amazing pigmentation. The center shade is my favourite - a frosted peach with a rose gold sheen. Great for travelling as well!

Sleek Blush by 3 in 'Pumpkin'
Another colour combo from the Blush by 3 range. Again, extremely pigmented and a dream to apply.

The Outcome:

Used:
None of these stood out for me enough to keep them around, so they all went to new, more loving homes. My friends were extremely happy with this outcome though!!

Lost:
Glossybox Blush in 'Glossy Rosewood'
As I said, it's a lovely colour, but I have a million everyday colours and this just didn't float my boat enough to win its spot in my permanent collection.

Becca Beach Tint in 'Watermelon'
I don't know if you've noticed, but I tend to stray away from cream/gel blushes. For some reason I'm a powder blush girl through and through, and nothing about this blush made it stand out enough to overcome that.

Seventeen Instant Glow Shimmer Brick in 'Pink Bronze'
This thing is seriously beautiful, and now that I'm writing this up I'm actually sad that I decided to give it away. It gives the most beautiful glow to the cheeks (very similar effect to a Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick) and although it's shimmery, it's not glittery. However, I didn't use it enough so I had to be brutal and re-home it.

Sleek Blush by 3 in 'Lace'
This was probably one of my favourites from the bunch, but the colour I liked the most was the centre shade, which is a pretty great dupe for NARS Orgasm (take note, people). However, I already have Orgasm so I decided to let this go to one of my friends!

Sleek Blush by 3 in 'Pumpkin'
I do not know what I was thinking when I purchased this. Don't get me wrong - these colours are stunning and apply incredibly well, but these shades are far too bright and pigmented for my pale complexion.

Have you got some cleaning out to do? Try this #useorlose method and tell me how you get on!

  1. I definitely need to do this! It is so interesting to hear your justifications for each lost product.

  2. I absolutely love the Sleek Suede blusher, I really have to make myself use my other blushes (I have a rather large collection, for my standards at least) so that I do not only use Suede, it is such a perfect colour for my face, I use it on my cheeks sort of as a blusher and contour all at once, it gives such great definition!

  3. Yeah it always looks really pretty - but I seriously do not need any more blushes! x
