A Bumpy Situation
Monday, December 22, 2014
A few years ago I ran into a problem with my skin. I developed a rather bumpy forehead - the blemishes weren't red or really visible at all, but the uneven texture really got me down because my makeup never really settled and it just felt awful. I rubbed and I scrubbed at it, but for months I couldn't get these tiny bumps to disappear. That was until I tried my first chemical exfoliator - the REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask. This nifty little mask really helped to clear up my problem, and ever since then I've tried to keep chemical exfoliators as a key part of my skincare routine. Unfortunately, I've just used up the last pump of my REN mask, but another favourite is the Clarins Gentle Exfoliating Brightening Toner which I try to use about two times a week to keep any uneven skin texture at bay. Lastly I'm a huge fan of the Origins High-Potency Night-a-Mins Cream. Not only is this a fabulous night cream that soothe and hydrate my super dry skin, but it also helps to resurface the skin overnight. I've noticed a massive difference in the texture of my skin ever since I started using these products as part of my skincare routine. Manual exfoliators are also a big part of my skincare stash, but chemical exfoliators for me are the key to truly smooth skin.
Have you tried any chemical exfoliators? What do you think of them?
yes! this is exactly the reason why i am so obsessed with chemical exfoliators. my forehead looked terrible, especially under makeup for some reason. those fleshy bumps on your forehead are called closed comedones & ahas are one of the few things that can get rid of them. alpha-h liquid gold & eucerin dermopurifyer toner are two of my faves. love love love xx
ReplyDeleteOh okay - I might have to try and find that one. Yeah, the REN one is brilliant :) x
ReplyDeleteAh okay I never knew what they were called! I've been dying to try alpha-h! x
