What I've Been Loving #31

MAC Face and Body Foundation in N1 (£21.50):
I first bought a bottle of this back in 2011, and although I adored it, once it was finished I forgot to get myself a new bottle. The other week I was craving dewy, natural looking skin in a big way, and I remembered my long-lost love. The next day I was off to Bluewater so I decided to pop into House of Frasier to get my fix, and I haven't used another foundation since. This provides the most amazing, glow-y finish that is build-able from a super light to a medium coverage, and it actually smells really nice too (well I think so!)
Laura Mercier Eyeshadows in Stellar, Burnished and Cognac (£19 per e/s):
I've had this particular trio for years and it's always been a favourite of mine. Don't believe me? Check out this post from donkey's years ago declaring my love for two of the shades - Burnished and Cognac. Not many people praise the eyeshadows from LM, but these are absolutely gorgeous, and should certainly not be passed up. Stellar is lovely, but the other two are the real showstoppers. Burnished is a golden brown which makes for a great all-over-the-lid colour, and Cognac is a terracotta colour that makes blue and green eyes truly pop. Definitely check out the eyeshadow section the next time you're by a LM counter.
It definitely took me a while to learn to love this one but at the moment I'm using it pretty much everyday. I didn't really get it at first, but I then discovered that its talents are revealed on a minimal makeup day. As this is used to highlight more than conceal, it can look a little lacklustre when you're wearing a full face of makeup - but, if you're going for a more natural look then it does wonders. Just pop a bit under your eyes to brighten and add a touch of coverage, and you end up looking bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, but it a far more subtle and natural way.
