It's been a bad couple of weeks. Endless working, a sore throat, a tidal wave of rubbish results and three essays to look *forward* to writing over Christmas. Yeah - not so good. One day on the way home from class I was feeling so crap about everything that I decided that I was going to march into Boots and buy myself something to cheer me up. I know - how materialistic - but it honestly makes me feel better. I've always had an emotional attachment to shopping - things just make me feel better, and if it helps me to carry on and get things done, then I don't think it's such a bad thing. It would be a different story if I bought a Chanel bag every time it rained (which would be a lot in England!) but I try to limit myself. This Dior Lip Balm has been on my 'things I want but are slightly too ridiculous to justify' list for a year or so now. At £23.50, the Dior Addict Lip Glow is supposed to enhance your lip colour whilst also protecting and nourishing. It's a tad extravagant but it's extremely popular so I thought I'd give it a go. Do you guys shop to make you feel better? Do you have anything else you do to lift your mood?

  1. An excellent bad day purchase ha ha! I used to be the same but now I try and not get into the shopping therapy mode! Cooking tends to ease things for me! Nothing like a good meal to cheer up! :-)

  3. This lip balm is on my wish list as well but I can never seem to justify the splurge :) I don't always shop when I am bad but it can happen :) Glad it made you feel better!

  4. Shopping always helps with bad days and this is the perfect "treat yo' self" purchase.

  5. Do I shop to feel better? Pah! Who told you that? I'm far too intellectual for any of that nonsense. *looks shifty*.

  6. Aw, feel better soon! But I'm very much the same, or I tend to 'reward' myself with a more extravagant purchase. Retail therapy!

  7. I sometimes do this! Or if I'm feeling super happy I'll just go on a spending spree, it's so bad :P
