Ah MAC eyeshadows, ever faithful companions that have been in my life since my early teens and have stuck around thus far. Like with any product, there's bound to be a dud here or there, but for the most part the eyeshadow offering from MAC is pretty solid - some of my favourite shades in my collection are proud members of the MAC family, and today I'm going to share with you some of those very shadows...

MAC Phloof!
I've talked about Phloof! in my inner eye highlighters for #palegirls post, and it is honestly one of the best eyeshadows I have come across hands down. For someone with fair skin like myself, this is the ultimate highlighter/shimmery lid colour. As you can see, this has received a hell of a lot of love during it's time in my palette, and I would repurchase this without hesitation when I inevitably finish it off.

MAC Patina
This is the ultimate lid colour for me. Some would say that Satin Taupe is the winner from MAC, but for me this takes the cake. It's a gorgeous sandy brown with a subtle silver shimmer, which makes it a nice cool-toned neutral, but still warmer than ST. As with Phloof!, the texture is buttery, smooth, and frankly a pleasure to use.

MAC Tempting
Unlike the previous two, the texture of Tempting is a bit chunky, but it's colour payoff and gorgeous shade more than make up for it. For me, this is the definition of a summery smokey bronze eye, and it becomes a front player in my stash every time that season rolls around. It's also great paired with the other two shades, and in my opinion, this should be a shade that features in everyone's collection.

What are your favourite shadows from MAC? Have any shade suggestions? Let me know!

  7. Woo for hitting pan! Haha, MAC shadows certainly are amazing, the shade range is unbeatable! I have All that Glitters and love it, but I do really want to get my hands on Patina. It's really quite unique!

  10. Think my most loved three would have to be Phloof!, Twinks, and Wedge. They're my most repurchased ones! I don't seem to use my other MAC shadows as much anymore, going to dig out my palettes x

  11. I love the shade of Patina, but unfortunately it doesn't show so much on my lids. Sad panda.

My absolute favourite is Sumptuous Olive. Such a gorgeous, gorgeous shade!

  15. Oh no that's so sad!! It's like many of the light 'highlight' shadows that most people recommend don't do anything for me, like Brulé and Shroom! I love a bit of SO as well :) x

  16. Ooh I am in love with the look of Patina and Tempting! My MAC palette still has some holes that need filling so you've totally just enabled me. My favorite shades have to be Soba, All That Glitters (ho ho ho I'm so original), Antiqued, and Woodwinked!

  17. Wow sorry this took me so long to reply to - doing a huge comment-reply session now! Ohh good choices - I've never tried Soba, but I don't think I need to just yet ;) I like the others, but ATG doesn't show up that well with my skin tone, that's why I like Phloof! more :) xx
