Top - Bottom: Matte Balm in Elusive, Lacquer Balm in Demure, Matte Balm in Unapologetic

Today I walked into Sasa (a drugstore in Hong Kong) and let out a quick squeal. Ever since I hear that Revlon would be releasing a matte and lacquer version of their amazing Colourburst Balm Stains, I knew I would have to get my hands on them. However, I didn't know that these bad boys would be mine quite so soon. They are due to be released on the 20th January in the UK (10 days from now), so when I saw them today I knew that I had to snatch up a few whilst I had the chance. As is usually the way in Asia, they didn't have the complete line available, but I still managed to pick up some lovely shades. With the shade Honey (great everyday nude-pink) being my favourite in the regular line, I knew that I wanted to try the equivalent in both the matte and lacquered versions. The most everyday matte colour is called Elusive and it's lacquered counterpart is called Demure - both great everyday colours. Another colour that caught my eye was the Matte Balm in Unapologetic - a bright pinky-red. Like the originals, these are nicely moisturising, gorgeously packaged and have a lovely peppermint scent. However, if your lips are a bit dry (like mine are above), they tend to highlight it. Luckily, one of the great things about these is that the more you wear them, the more moisturised your lips will become and ultimately, the better they will look. If you are a fan of the original Balm Stains, then trust me, you will love these.
