Since announcing my spending ban, I've really been trying to dive in and use some of my once-beloved products that somehow found their way to the back of the draw. This last few weeks has been fairly skincare based as my skin had been having a bit of a tantrum! I've been able to keep most of the dryness at bay, but I've been plagued instead with big, sore spots that seem to be taking an age to fade - it's always something! There have been a few key products that I've been turning to, and this lovely Sunday morning we're going to take a quick look at a few of them...

When it comes to pesky blemishes that long outstay their welcome, Trilogy's Rosehip Oil steps in to save the day. Rosehip oil is fantastic at helping out with just about every skincare woe, but it particularly excels at helping to repair skin and improving its overall appearance. It has certainly helped to fade some of my acne scars, and it helps to rehydrate my dry skin at the same time! If only it smelt better...

Having grown up in Asia, I have always been particularly fond of BB creams, and this bad boy by Dr. Jart + is no exception. Despite the annoying volcano of a spot popping up, my skin has been pretty clear in general so this has been great for everyday use. It's perfect for dry skin as it doesn't highlight any dryness in the slightest, and even helps to keep your skin hydrated throughout the day - magic! I've been using this all over my face with a RT Buffer Brush and then using my favourite NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer to provide more coverage on any blemishes. Perfection.

Unlike the veterans mentioned above, this scrub is actually a fairly recent addition to my collection after it was recommended by a lovely follower on Twitter. This scrub is actually pretty special - it's a mixture of a manual and a chemical exfoliator which means it hits all the spots when it comes to getting rid of any dead skin and smoothing out the surface of your skin. It's fairly gritty so you have to be a bit light handed with it, but due to it's ingredients it's also incredibly good at detoxing your face and clearing out your pores. It's early days but I think this could be a game-changer.

What have you been loving recently?

I love rosehip oil, it really makes a difference in the speed of the healing process when I suffer from spots. But oh, you are so right, the smell... :/

  15. Which one have you been using? The Dr Jart BB creams are probably my favourite BB creams that you can buy in the UK - they're most like the original Asian ones :) x

  18. Scrubatomic! It's a nice scrub, but I love the idea of having chemical exfoliators as well so I might try that one next!

  19. I'd really like to try the Trilogy oil, and see if this will make my acne scars disappear. I'd like to try the 'Scrub Your Nose In It' as well. I read a lot of good reviewsabout it.
