Welcome back to my beloved #PaleGirls series, where I recommend some of my favourite products to compliment the fairer-skinned amongst us. Unfortunately, this post won't be directly useful for all of you, but do keep in mind that these are gorgeous products regardless of your skin tone, so be sure to check any of them out if they tickle your fancy. Last time we took a look at some of my favourite contour shades, but today, as you can probably tell from the title, we are going to be taking a peek at some of the best fair-skin blushes that I have in my collection. When it comes to blushes that work better with a paler complexion, I find that it's best to stick to pink/peachy tones. Luckily for us, these are incredibly easy to find in any price range - as I'll demonstrate today - but also they come in a variety of finishes, from glowy and shimmery to ultra matte.

Starting from the most affordable, you'd be foolish to pass up on Bourjois' Little Round Pot Blusher range. I currently only have one in my possession; Rode D'or, but they have a stunning range that are perfect for us paler girls. Rose D'or is exactly what it says on the tin - it's a pretty bright pink with a golden shimmer running through it which adds a nice glow to your cheeks when applied. Another brand with a seriously impressive range of blush shades is MAC. There's no denying that if you're looking for a specific colour of blush, MAC has probably released it four times over. A long-time favourite of mine that is gorgeous on porcelain skin is Full of Joy - a lavender tinted pink that adds a gorgeous cool-toned flush to your cheeks. Full of Joy is actually a lot cooler than it's appearing in the picture above (it's the one I've hit pan on!) and it's worth noting that this is only really suitable for lighter skin tones as it'll probably appear ashy on darker skin. Another blush from MAC is Dainty from their Mineralised range, a beauty that I've owned pretty much since the very creation of my makeup obsession. If you're after a perfect natural flush then you simply cannot go wrong with Dainty - it warms your cheeks like you've been sitting by a country fire and really just enhances your natural beauty. It also has a slightly frosted finish which is enough to bring a slight glow to your face, but nothing too dramatic.

Moving into the higher end section, NARS is one of my favourite brands when it comes to most products, but they certainly know how to make a kick ass blush (for all skin tones!) Vulgar by name but incredibly sweet on the cheeks, Deep Throat is a lovely soft pinky-peach with a light shimmer finish which is just so easy to wear. Orgasm by the same brand is also really pretty, but this is like the shyer, less wild younger sister which is a bit more user friendly. Now when it comes to well-known pinky-peach shades, the list wouldn't be complete without mentioning a cult classic, Coralista by Benefit. Coralista is another blush that really works for all skin tones, but can really brighten up the cheeks of us paler girls. Much like Deep Throat, it's a very easy-to-wear lightly shimmered shade that leans slightly warmer toned than shades like Full of Joy. There's honestly not much else to say about it, just go and see for yourself! Last but not least and the priciest of the bunch, we have the super-pale Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Dim Infusion. This shade is slightly different from the rest, in that it's actually really light in colour - I mean seriously light, so much so that when I have somewhat of a tan in summer, it's closer to a highlighter on me. This is definitely the most peach toned of the bunch too, and boy is it pretty - definitely worth a look if you're in the market.

So there's my guide to gorgeous blushes for #PaleGirls worldwide! Have you got any favourites that I've missed? Let me know!

  1. I never use blushers because of how pale I am, it never used to work out well so I found this post super super helpful. I've wanted to try a Bourjois blush for ages now and I think I might have to get the Rode D'or one you mentioned, it's beautiful!

  5. One day (hopefully in the near future), I would like to pick up a NARS blush :) I'm not quite pale, but I have to say Tarte Exposed is my favorite blush! I think it would suit all skin tones as well xx

  8. Nice selection! Coralista doesn't show much on me unfortunately, depending on the day. And it's not like I'm dark, lol. I guess I'm used to darker blushes (think Mac Fleur Power or Nars Amour). I'll definitely take a look at the other options, though. I have my Bourjois blushes unfairly abandoned!

  19. OK BUT AM I THE ONLY ONE THE FINDS THAT BOURJOIS' BLUSHES SMELL BAD? I have a Bourjois blush and it smells like old lady roses to me! Anyways, Deep Throat and Coralista are some of my favourites! I also have a friend who's also ridiculously pale skinned, and she loves Benefit's Dandelion as well.
