It's really time to get my act together; a whirlwind of exams and graduation then a shocking lack of things to keep myself entertained has led to pure laziness and a lack of inspiration or motivation of any kind on my part. I've talked the talk and now it's time to walk the walk - blogging could be the thing to give my life a bit of structure in my haze of job applications and unemployment, so I've decided to continue with one of my blogging series - 'What I've been loving'. This bad boy has been running for quite a while now and I've contemplated removing it from my schedule completely a few times, but being the perfectionist that I am I certainly couldn't leave it one #41, so this series will be sticking around until #50 for completions sake.

Anywaaay, we're here to talk about beauty! The following products have been part of my 'daily' routine over the last few weeks (that is when I've been applying makeup) so I thought I'd introduce you to them...

First thing's first, I haven't stopped using this mascara since I laid hands on it for the first time back in March - it's lengthening and volumising on my lashes without any clumping, and it's a dark brown shade which is much more flattering with my paler features.

Although this eyeshadow stick often gets lost amongst my sea of cream eyeshadows, every time I fish it out I am reminded exactly why it's so damn good. Imagine rose gold mixed with a deep chocolate colour and you've got this - something akin to MAC's Sable perhaps? Anyway, not only is the colour gorgeous but I've heard that its excellent texture and lasting power is consistent throughout the rest of the line, so perhaps it's worth popping into the next Kiko store you see?

My beloved MUFE Aqua Cream has been a long-time hot weather companion of mine. I picked it up in Madrid back in 2012 (2 years before I ended up moving there!) and it's the ultimate eyeshadow base. It is totally waterproof, refuses to budge, and the champagne colour of shade 13 makes it a perfect all-over lid colour as well as a great highlight. Now that MUFE is available in Debenhams here in the UK, I'd suggest you check out all of the 'Aqua' ranges because they're simply unbeatable when it comes to summertime makeup!

I've blabbered on about the wonder that is MAC's Fling far too many times to count on this blog, but in short is is just the perfect brow product for blonde gals. Waxy enough to stay in place, creamy enough to show up, and neither too warm or too ashy for my brows. I strongly advise any blondies out there who've had trouble finding a good match for their eyebrows to check it out ASAP.

  1. So glad to have you back Isobel! I'd love to see you do a #100 on these but in the end its upto you! :) On another note, I am quite smitten with MAC's Stud eyebrow pencil which is just another shade of the one you're using and the formula couldn't get any better! I know everyone and their mother is in love with Anastasia's (including myself) but MAC does some really good products and this has to be one of them!

  2. I couldn't agree more with the YSL mascara, I absolutely swear by it and won't buy another brand's mascara until proven otherwise!

  4. I haven't tried MAC brow pencils before but I'm started to become tempted to give one a go! I like my Anastasia Brow Powder Duo but sometimes I like the look of a soft pencil better. I'll have to check the selection out! xx
