It's that time of year again, where we look back at the past twelve months and get ready to start a fresh new year. As always, I like to go through my stash and look at what products have really stood out for me this year. Unfortunately, as my makeup is currently split up between 3 different locations, there are a few honourable mentions that didn't quite make it into this post, but I'll talk about them briefly at the end. So, without further ado, let's get into it!

MAC REBEL LIPSTICK (£15): This probably has to be my favourite 'berry' shade to date. There's just something about it. It's a gorgeous, deep raspberry that compliments any skin tone beautifully - a statement lip that will turn heads all day.

I must admit - this is a fairly new addition and shouldn't technically be allowed to be part of this post, but it really is a good'un. Add this under any foundation and you will be left with the most gorgeous, stunning glow. It's also really hydrating and, of course, keeps your foundation in tip-top shape all day. What more could a girl need?

BENEFIT 'THEY'RE REAL' MASCARA (£19.50 - full size):
I'm only going to talk about this briefly as I've spent the whole year rambling on about it, but no other mascara has ever made me feel this way. It lengthens, volumizes and keeps a curl like no other. The only thing that I dislike about it is the price tag. £20 for a mascara = ouch.

I have never really been a 'lips' person, but this balm stain from Revlon has changed everything. They have a great shade range, but my personal favourite is 'Honey' - a 'my lips but better' (sorry - had to say it!) balm that really moisturises and leaves behind a lovely, subtle stain. This is really a colour that you can use everyday - and I have been!

In my opinion, no one makes a liquid eyeliner like the Japanese. This is the finest, blackest, smoothest and longest lasting liquid eyeliner I have ever tried and I would recommend it to anyone who can get their hands on it.

I can not say enough about this powder - it's translucent so it doesn't add any coverage, but it minimises the appearance of pores, mattifies the skin and sets your makeup in place all day. It's been my No.1 powder for several years now and I don't think it's going anywhere anytime soon!

I think we were all equally as excited when these launched in the UK. There's not much to say about these other than the fact they they're incredibly pigmented, super long lasting and incredibly purse-friendly. Some of my favourite shades include; On and On Bronze, Permanent Taupe and Metallic Pomegranate

This shadow was definitely a favourite of mine in the summer months, as it's an intense bronze that get's on swimmingly with blue eyes and sun-kissed skin. However, this baby works all year round when used all over the lid with just a bit of mascara, or as part of a sultry bronze smokey eye.

These are probably one of my favourite lip products to be released in a while, and I've got an array of colours to prove it. Picture the gorgeous YSL Glossy Stains - but for 1/3rd the price - and you've got these bad boys. They're super wearable, comfortable as hell and come in a chic, golden tube.

The reason I like this concealer so much is that it provides great coverage, but it is so light! You don't get any cakeiness or unevenness, but it covers pretty much anything without a problem. Perfect!

absolutely adore this colour, it gives my cheeks a beautiful 'flushed' look and although it's matte, it doesn't make my face look flat or dull. This is the blush I will always turn to when I don't know what to wear; it just goes with my skin tone so well and works with any makeup look.

So those are my top makeup items from this year. Like I said, I don't have a few of my favourites on me, but I'd like to give an honourable mention to; NARS Violetta, Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation and MAC Riri Woo Lipstick. What have your favourites been this year? Let me know in the comments section! Plus, watch this space as my Best of 2013: Skincare will be up soon!
