So today's the day - the day I embark on the second leg of my Year Abroad. If you haven't been following me for long, then you may not know that I study Russian and Spanish at the University of Bath in the UK. I'm currently a 3rd year student, which means that this academic year, I get to spend my time gallivanting around the world in order to improve my language skills. I spent my first semester abroad in a city called Воронеж (Voronezh), Russia, going to university to better improve my Russian language skills. Like I said, today I begin my second adventure, moving to Madrid, Spain to become a student at Universidad Complutense de Madrid for 6 months. As you'd expect, I'm ridiculously excited but also pretty terrified. Luckily, I have spent a few days in Madrid before, and one of my best friends lives there, so I'm not going in blind - but it's still pretty nerve-racking. If you would like to follow my Spanish adventures (or go and check out what I got up to whilst in Russia) - then head to my travel blog - The Travel Diary of a Third Culture Kid. I'll be updating on here occasionally, but I will have a post up at least once a week on my other blog, so if you're interested in reading it, head on over. Right - wish me luck! Hasta luego xx
