Clarins Gentle Exfoliator Brightening Toner

This beauty has been on my radar for well over a year, but you know what it's like with skincare - it's hard to know if it'll work for you until you try it. Luckily about 2 months ago I managed to bag a rather generous sample of this Clarins Gentle Exfoliator Brightening Toner from the Clarins counter, and before I had time to finish it, I popped into Sephora to grab myself a full-sized bottle. If you don't know what this is, it's an exfoliator and a toner in one - but it doesn't contain scrubby-bits, instead it contains fruit acids that chemically exfoliate your skin. This has a slightly thicker consistency than a usual toner, and although it smells a bit chemically, it does one hell of a job. Ever since I began using this, the texture of my skin has improved dramatically. I have always had a problem with a bumpy forehead - I have little spots that aren't really visible, but affect the way that any makeup sits on my face. This has really helped to reduce those, and now my forehead is practically smooth. It's also been great for keeping flakiness at bay. I use this about two times a week, in addition to using a good ol' fashion manual exfoliator (Origins Modern Friction) once a week. I seriously cannot recommend this enough if you suffer from an uneven skin texture - it's been a miracle worker. Have you tried this or any of it's chemical exfoliator competitors?
